About Us

We've always loved the great outdoors and have always lived a very active lifestyle. We looked at the current landscape of the outdoor industry and realized something was missing. We love hiking, kayaking, paddeboarding, fishing, spending the day at the beach or out on the water. But we always felt the gear and apparel we used while doing the things we loved, didn't suit who we were. It didn’t make our adventures easier, in fact it made things harder. Longer set up and prep times took time away from being able to enjoy the great outdoors to the fullest. We found the apparel didn’t quite fit the way would like, it wasn’t comfortable and it wasn’t very stylish. Not that you’re on a runway in the mountains or anything but we always wanted gear and apparel with a little more personality. We didn't want to follow the herd and go to the usual guys for our gear. So we decided to create our own Outdoor Outfitting brand that is not only durable, reliable, easy to use, but it’s also comfortable as well as stylish...that brand is Gean Matthews.
